40 foot dry container

A 40-foot shipping container is a standard type of container used for transporting goods by sea, rail, or road. It measures approximately 12 meters in length, 2.44 meters in width, and 2.59 meters in height, with a maximum load capacity of around 28 tons.

40-foot containers are commonly used for transporting large or high-volume goods such as vehicles, furniture, raw materials, manufactured products, food items, and more. They offer greater storage capacity than 20-foot containers and are stackable.

40-foot containers are also available in a variety of configurations, including standard containers, temperature-controlled containers, open containers, hard top containers, flat rack containers, and more. They are widely used in the maritime transport industry and are considered a standard unit of measurement for sea freight. 40-foot containers can also be divided into two equal 20-foot sections, providing greater flexibility for cargo transport.
